What is the streaming loudness preview?
Preview a master at selected streaming loudness references. Actual playback depends on the service, settings and device.
Select a platform in the review player to preview a loudness reference. The readout shows the selected target, the measured loudness and the calculated gain change.
The client review page uses attenuation only. A quiet file is not boosted there. References include Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Tidal, Amazon Music, TikTok and Bandcamp. Bandcamp has no normalization adjustment.
These settings are simulations. They do not reproduce every service mode, encoder or playback device. In particular, Spotify’s published limiter applies to Loud mode; do not treat a reference gain calculation as an exact reproduction of every Spotify player.
Use the preview to compare listening conditions. It does not change the source file or establish a required mastering target.
